Carrie works in an organization that has observed some layoffs and restructuring of work. She has assumed a lot far more work and responsibilities. Looking around, there are those who are working 12-14 hour days, fearful of becoming the next on the radar. But their contributions are not matching the time spent.

Carrie, on the other hand, sees tremendous chance to be far more efficient and focused in the work she’s doing. And yet, the fear of not becoming “seen” causes her to stay late often, even when she’s caught up. There are no “bonus points” for extra effort so she gets frustrated with wanting to do more, but then “why”.

So she begins to daydream and believe about what far more she can do to lead her career and life in the direction that uses her talents and skills, with out fear at its core.

Notice Carrie isn’t focused on income she’s focused on her deep and abiding require to do a wonderful and satisfying job, whilst not being fearful and unappreciated.

There are a few things Carrie can do to satisfy this will need.

- She can start to create a strategy to commence her own business and take control of how she spends her time does more than acquiring caught up.

- She can look at sharing her expertise both online and offline by creating a website/blog or teach which will give her a deep sense of fulfillment and appreciation.

- She can supply to mentor those with whom she works to help them become much more efficient and successful with their time and build her leadership and teaming skills.

Carrie, by the way, did take the choice to start creating a business and become a lot more entrepreneurial. She is taking action and utilizing her individual leadership to develop the life and career she desires. By developing the transition plan, although she’s working, she’s infused energy and enthusiasm into her days and evenings.

Watching and paying attention to what’s happening around you and not taking individual leadership to make it work for you is a sorely missed chance. We are all becoming gifted with the “breadcrumbs” that give us license to take our own individual leadership to new and untold heights.
